Sail The Gay Seas

Ever wanted to go on a Gay Cruise? My experience:

Gay Cruises are a fun way to explore the world comfortably surrounded by like-minded people. I’ve met some wonderful guys and have made life-long friends. I’ve been on both large and small ships but definitely prefer the larger ships as there’s more room to roam and there are many more venues for entertainment. RSVP and Atlantis are two of the top gay cruises, and both have not disappointed. I would say the main difference is that Atlantis is more of a party cruise while RSVP is a little more laid back, but still fun to say the least. The all-night dance parties are probably my favorite aspect of gay cruises. The DJ’s are world renowned and take you on a journey you’ll never forget. Usually each night has a theme so check your itinerary before packing your bags so you’ll bring the appropriate costumes and accessories. There is usually a celebrity guest or comedian that is kept secret until you arrive on the ship. Joan Rivers was one of my favorite guest comedians! On gay cruises you will meet people from all walks of life and all body types. So don’t be intimidated if you’re not in the best of shape. There’s something for everyone and people are very nice regardless. The ports of call are a great way to stretch your sea legs and there are several excursions you can choose from. If you don’t feel the need to leave the ship, it’s a great time to relax on the deck and read a book. The pool is where it’s at if you like to people watch (crotch watch 😉 But remember to wear your SPF as those long days in the sun can burn you to a crisp. Some say gay cruises are like a floating Circuit Party, but my opinion is that Circuit Parties get a little more out of hand, which is fine when you want to take it there 😉 But in comparison gay cruises are much more tame and more intimate. Hey, you’re all trapped on a boat after all! If you have considered going on a gay cruise I’d say go for it! Do your research and you will not be disappointed. Bringing a group of friends always makes the experience more fun. So get your crew together and make a plan to sail the gay seas!

Peace,

Butch
